In a statement, Craig praised the producers, saying, "My respect, admiration, and love for Barbara and Michael remain constant and undiminished." He also wished Wilson a happy retirement and expressed his hope to be a part of Broccoli's future ventures.

As the actor who played Bond in five films, including Casino Royale, Skyfall, and No Time to Die, Craig's sentiments hold significant weight. The James Bond franchise has been a beloved and iconic part of cinema history, with a legacy spanning over six decades.

Amazon MGM Studios' acquisition of the franchise's creative control marks a new chapter for the series. Wilson, who has led the franchise alongside Broccoli, announced his retirement from producing the films to focus on art and philanthropy. Broccoli will continue to be involved with the franchise, albeit in a different capacity.

As fans eagerly await the next installment of the James Bond series, all eyes are on Amazon MGM Studios to see how they will shape the future of the franchise, including the selection of the next actor to play the iconic role of 007.
