The official logline for Season 2 reads:

"When explorer Lara Croft (Atwell) uncovers a trail of stolen African Orisha masks, she teams up with her closest friend Sam (Karen Fukuhara) to recover the valuable treasures. Lara's thrilling new adventure takes her around the world as she delves deeper into the hidden secrets of Orisha history, avoids the machinations of a dangerous and enigmatic billionaire who wants the masks for herself, and discovers that these relics contain dark secrets and a power that defies reason. Power that may be divine."

In addition to Atwell and Fukuhara, the Season 1 voice cast includes Allen Maldonado, Earl Baylon, Richard Armitage, Zoe Boyle, Roxana Ortega, and Nolan North.

Tasha Huo wrote the series and serves as executive producer. Dmitri M. Johnson, the founder and CEO of dj2 Entertainment, acts as an executive producer alongside Timothy I. Stevenson, Jacob Robinson from Tractor Pants, Dallas Dickinson and Noah Hughes from Crystal Dynamics, and Howard Bliss and Jen Chambers. The animation studio is called Powerhouse Animation, and Brad Graeber serves as executive producer.

Developers Core Design and Aspyr launched the original "Tomb Raider" video game for the Sega Satrun in 1996, and it had sold over 2.5 million units by 1997. As of 2024, twenty "Tomb Raider" games had been released. The game was converted into a multi-film "Tomb Raider" franchise starring Angelina Jolie and then Alicia Vikander as Croft.
